Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Kota Gorontalo yang berjumlah 422 siswa sedangkan pengambilan sampel penelitian dengan teknik random sampling berjumlah 81 siswa.

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dideskripsikan dengan analisis persentase menunjukkan bahwa dari faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: faktor internal meliputi fisiologis dan psikologis dengan nilai presentase sebesar (75,02%), dan faktor eksternal meliputi fasilitas, perhatian, keluarga, masyarakat, sekolah dan teman sebaya dengan nilai presentase sebesar (77,22%) serta secara keseluruhan dari kedua indikator memiliki persentase sebesar 76,14%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Kota Gorontalo termasuk pada kategori sedang.

ABSTRAC

This quantitative descriptive research describes the factors affecting students’ learning outcomes in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Kota Gorontalo. Thus, the research aims to determine the factors affecting students’ learning outcomes in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Kota Gorontalo, amounting to 422 students. At the same time, the samples are 81 students taken by random sampling.

The finding describe by percentage analysis signifies that the factors affecting students’ learning outcomes are divided into internal and external factors. In detail, the internal factors include physiological and psychological with a percentage value of 75.02%, and external factors include facilities, attention, family, community, school, and peers with a percentage value of 77.22%. Overall, both indicators have a percentage value of 76.14%. This denotes that the factors affecting students’ learning outcomes in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Kota Gorontaloare in the medium category.
