PEDAGOGIKA is the oldest journal at the Faculty of Education, State University of Gorontalo. Since 2012, it has been the journal where lecturers, practitioners, students and other scholars write their research, and thoughts around educational issues. In 2012, the journal was first published in printed version and managed by faculty of education. Throughout the time, managing PEDAGOGIKA journal had ups and downs, the first Editor in Chief was led by Dr. Abdul Rahmat, M.Pd and it had open journal system (OJS) that was embedded with the Faculty of Education website. However, during the biennial event of Faculty of Education and Department of Education called FIP-JIP, the OJS was surprisingly down and all data were gone. Further in 2015, the OJS was recovered yet in 2017 it was hacked.

In 2018, PEDGOGIKA has used the OJS and in 2019 the ISSN Online has been released. Currently, the Journal Editor in Chief is Dr. Pupung Puspa Ardini. This educational journal focusses on discussing about Educational Management, Guidance and Counselling, Primary/Elementary and Teacher Education, Teacher Education and Early Childhood Education, Educational Technology and other Educational Fields.
PEDAGOGIKA consistently publishes articles 2 times a year in April and October and has both ISSN Online: 2716-0580 ISSN Print: 2086-4469

At this time, PEDAGOGIKA has been indexed by Google Scholar, Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital), BASE, ROAD, PKP Index, Indonesia One Search, DRJI and ARI. In January 2020, PEDGOGIKA has subscribed to and is a member of the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) from CrossRef.
