Hubungan Kesiapan Kerja Mahasiswa Semester Akhir dengan Big Five Personality
Abstract
Penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan kerja berhubungan dengan aspek-aspek psikologis seseorang sehingga muncul pertanyaan apakah terdapat hubungan kepribadian seseorang, dalam hal ini ditinjau dari teori kepribadian big five personality, dengan kesiapan kerja yang mendorong dilakukan penelitian ini dengan menyasar mahasiswa semester akhir. Sebanyak 121 mahasiswa semester akhir Universitas Negeri Gorontalo dari 32 jurusan sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengukuran menggunakan The Work Readiness Scale (WRS) dan Big Five Inventory (BFI) dan hasilnya dianalisis melalui uji Spearman dengan bantuan JASP. Pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan hasil ada hubungan yang signifikan antara Big Five Personality dan Kesiapan Kerja (r=0,614 p=0,000). Dari kelima dimensi kepribadian ditemukan 4 dimensi yang memiliki hubungan yang arahnya positif dengan kesiapan kerja, yaitu openness to experience (r=0,770 p=0,000), dimensi conscientiousness (r=0,585 p=0,000), dimensi extraversion (r=0,776 p=0,000), dan dimensi agreeabӏeness (r=0,715 p=0,000). Sementara itu, dimensi neuroticism memiӏiki hubungan negatif dengan kesiapan kerja (r=–0,301 p=0,000). Peneӏitian ini berimpӏikasi pada bidang psikoӏogi pendidikan dan psikologi industri dan organisasi bahwa dengan mengetahui tipe kepribadian dapat memprediksikan kesiapan kerja lulusan sehingga dapat dilakukan upaya dalam menyiapkan lulusan yang siap kerja
