Kontribusi Pola Asuh Helikopter terhadap Kemandirian dan Kecerdasan Emosional Peserta Didik
Abstract
Setiap orang tua memiliki pola asuh yang beragam, salah satunya adalah pola asuh helikopter yang ditandai dengan keterlibatan berlebihan orang tua dalam kehidupan anak. Pola asuh ini berpotensi memengaruhi perkembangan kemandirian dan kecerdasan emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi pola asuh helikopter terhadap kemandirian dan kecerdasan emosional siswa di SMPN 4 Kota Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling sebanyak 114 siswa kelas VII. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan skala pola asuh helikopter, kemandirian, dan kecerdasan emosional yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh helikopter berkontribusi sebesar 27.5% terhadap kemandirian dan 17.8% terhadap kecerdasan emosional. Uji MANOVA menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05 yang berarti terdapat kontribusi pola asuh helikopter terhadap kemandirian dan kecerdasan emosional siswa secara simultan. Temuan ini menyimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi penerapan pola asuh helikopter oleh orang tua, semakin rendah kemandirian dan kecerdasan emosional siswa. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru dalam menyusun program layanan yang fokus pada pengembangan kemandirian dan kecerdasan emosional siswa, serta dapat menjadi acuan bagi orang tua dalam menentukan pola asuh yang tepat.
