Jambura Elementary Education Journal (JEEJ) is committed to maintaining a rigorous, fair, transparent, and objective peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, validity, and scholarly contribution of published articles.
The journal publishes scholarly articles in elementary education, including teaching and learning, curriculum development, educational innovation, instructional strategies, learning media, assessment, and related fields.
All research manuscripts submitted to JEEJ are subject to editorial screening and independent peer review before a final publication decision is made.
JEEJ adopts a peer-review process designed to ensure that submitted manuscripts are evaluated objectively by qualified experts in the relevant field.
Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise, research experience, and relevance to the manuscript's subject matter.
The journal promotes impartiality, confidentiality, academic integrity, and constructive scholarly evaluation throughout the review process.
The specific anonymity arrangements applied during peer review are governed by the journal's established editorial procedures.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial evaluation by the editorial team to determine their suitability for further review.
The initial screening includes:
Relevance to the journal's aims and scope.
Compliance with the journal's author guidelines and manuscript template.
Originality and potential scholarly contribution.
Clarity of research objectives, methodology, and presentation.
Compliance with research ethics and publication standards.
Examination of potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other ethical concerns.
Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's minimum requirements may be returned for revision or rejected before external peer review.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to qualified reviewers with expertise relevant to the research topic.
The editorial team is responsible for selecting reviewers who can provide independent, objective, and constructive assessments.
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline review invitations when such conflicts may compromise their impartiality.
Reviewers assess submitted manuscripts based on the following criteria:
Originality and Novelty: The extent to which the study presents original findings or meaningful contributions to existing knowledge.
Relevance: The relationship between the research topic and the journal's focus on elementary education.
Theoretical Foundation: The appropriateness and relevance of the theoretical framework and supporting literature.

Conclusions and Implications: The consistency of conclusions with the research findings and their implications for educational theory or practice.
Academic Writing Quality: The clarity, organization, coherence, and scholarly presentation of the manuscript.
Ethical Compliance: Adherence to research ethics, academic integrity, and publication standards.
Reviewers are expected to provide constructive feedback to assist authors in improving the scientific quality of their manuscripts.
Following the peer-review process, the editorial team evaluates the reviewers' recommendations and determines the appropriate editorial decision.
Possible decisions include:
Accept Submission: The manuscript meets the journal's publication requirements.
Revisions Required: The manuscript requires minor or substantial revisions before further consideration.
Resubmit for Review: The manuscript requires significant improvements and an additional round of evaluation.
Decline Submission: The manuscript does not meet the journal's academic or publication standards.
The final decision regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection rests with the Editor-in-Chief or the authorized handling editor.
Acceptance is not guaranteed solely because authors have completed the requested revisions.
Authors are expected to respond carefully and systematically to reviewers' comments and editorial recommendations.
Revised manuscripts should be accompanied by a clear explanation of the changes made, including responses to individual reviewer comments.
The editorial team may request additional revisions or further peer review when necessary.
All manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents.
Editors and reviewers must not disclose, distribute, or use unpublished manuscript content for personal or professional advantage.
Reviewers must provide impartial and evidence-based evaluations, avoid discriminatory comments, and disclose any conflicts of interest.
Suspected research misconduct, plagiarism, manipulated peer review, or other ethical violations will be handled in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies and relevant COPE guidance.
JEEJ aims to conduct the editorial and peer-review processes efficiently while maintaining rigorous academic standards.
The duration of each review stage may vary depending on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, the extent of required revisions, and the number of review rounds.
Authors will be informed of relevant editorial decisions through the journal's submission system.
JEEJ is committed to ensuring that editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, research quality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope.
The editorial team is responsible for maintaining fairness, confidentiality, and consistency throughout the review process.
